Same Day Florist Delivery
If
you need same day flower delivery, chances are you need to act fast
to make sure you'll be able to find the right service to help you...
Most major online florists offer some form of same day delivery, at
least on a selected range of their bouquets and arrangements.
Many have entire sections devoted to last minute flower orders, and
often the bouquets which can be ordered and delivered the same day will
be marked or identified somehow in the listings on the site.
As a general rule, you have to order by lunchtime or early afternoon in
order to have your flowers delivered the same day. If it's
already later than that, your best bet may be to call a local florist
and see if they can help you. Otherwise, you'll have to go
for next day delivery, which should provide you with a wider variety of
bouquets to choose from. Also keep in mind that you may need
to order earlier in the day if it's a weekend or holiday, so be sure to
check the details on the site that you're ordering from.
You generally shouldn't be charged any extra for wanting same day
flower delivery, unless it's some kind of special 'Emergency Delivery'
plan which a few sites offer. However, most sites will simply
charge you the standard rate for same day delivery.
You may also want to consider non-flower gifts, such as balloon
arrangements, chocolates, or live plants. These are usually
more readily available and are easier to ship quickly than a floral
arrangement which needs to be designed, and which has many separate
parts which all need to be in stock. Of course, whether or
not balloons or plants are appropriate depends very much on the
recipient and the reasons for sending the flowers, but this is
definitely something to consider if you don't find any flower
arrangements that seem suitable.
